How to identify the five printing methods? (2 minutes to understand quickly)

There is no clear standard in the world for the classification of printing.
According to the characteristics of printing plates, I divide printing into five categories: lithography, letterpress printing, gravure printing, stencil printing, and plateless printing.

Offset printing
Lithographic printing uses the principle that oil and water do not mix and establishes a hydrophilic and oleophobic blank part and an oleophilic and hydrophobic graphic part on the printing plate, and the blank part and the graphic part are almost in the same plane, with no obvious difference in height. point.
Common lithographic printing includes: offset printing, photolithographic printing, etc.

Toppan Printing
Letterpress printing is to use the raised graphic part to be stained with ink, and the ink is printed directly on the substrate through pressure.
Common letterpress printing includes flexographic printing, movable type printing, etc.

gravure printing
Gravure printing uses gravure grooves to absorb ink, and through pressure, the ink adheres to the substrate.
Common gravure printing includes gravure printing, pad printing, etc.

Stencil printing
Stencil printing is to use the principle that the graphic part of the printing plate is permeable to ink, and the non-graphic part of the mesh is impervious to ink.
Common stencil printing includes screen printing, copy printing, etc.

Printing without plate
Plateless printing refers to the printing method that does not require the use of printing plates, but digital output. Common plateless printing includes inkjet printing, laser printing, etc.
